and I were
watching in awe and fascination at a
small bowl of oil and vinegar,
and the endless patterns that
mysteriously form
and disappear
as they swirl around and
around, refusing to mix.
We were discussing how cool it would be to set up a web cam looking at such a bowl. Maybe you could even hook up some electromechanical doodad to let people click on the web page to actuate something that would shake up the bowl, so ordinary folks could reach through and mix the salad dressing on-line. As a place-holder, I've made this little procedural noise simulation. It's not really physically accurate, but it's fun to watch. Now all we need is procedural salad... |
