image analogies: texture synthesis

Here are some results using image analogies for texture synthesis. In texture synthesis, we synthesis a texture that "looks like" some example texture, without being a copy of the example. Our method combines ideas from the methods of Wei and Levoy and Ashikhmin (which in turn are based on work by Efros and Leung.
